Tartu is a cosy and beautiful city located in the south of Estonia. The city could be easily reached by coach or train from Tallinn and Riga or by plane from Helsinki. Despite its small size, the city offers plenty to see for a few days’ visit. The conference will take place in one of the University of Tartu buildings located in the heart of Tartu’s old town. From Helsinki Airport, Finland
| By plane ✈️ | You can travel to Tartu by plane from Helsinki Airport. Usually, there are two flights a day, one in the afternoon, the other during the night. See the exact flight schedule and purchase tickets from the Finnair website. You can take a Forus taxi or Bolt taxi from Tartu Airport to the city center. |
| By ferry ⛴️ | You can also take a Tallink, Viking Line or Ekerö Line ferry from Helsinki to Tallinn, Estonia. Take into account that the ferries depart from different harbours. Tallink and Ekerö Line ferries depart from West Harbour Terminal 2 (Tyynenmerenkatu 14). Viking Line departs from the Katajanokka Harbour (Katajanokanlaituri 8) To reach the harbour from Helsinki Airport, you can, for example, use Bolt taxi or Helsinki Public Transit. Tickets for public transport can be bought in the HSL app or ticket machines at the transportation stops. |

From Tallinn Lennart Meri Airport in Estonia
| By coach 🚌 | You can travel by coach via Lux Express (from stop Tallinna Airport to stop Tartu Coach Station). The coach will stop next to the airport building. |
| By train 🚂 | You can also travel by train with Elron (from stop Ülemiste to stop Tartu). The train stop is about a 17-minute walk away from the airport. You can take bus 15 or 49 to reach Ülemiste. The bus stop is next to the airport building. |
| From A to B in Tallinn | You can take a taxi, other ride-hailing services, e.g., Bolt taxi or use Tallinn Public Transport. The best way to get from any transportation station to the next is with tram T2 which stops at the train station (stop Balti jaam), harbour (stop Vanasadam), bus station (stop Bussijaam), and the airport. Tickets can be bought online or by swiping a contactless bank card at the validator located by the first door of the vehicle. |
From Riga Airport in Latvia
| By coach 🚌 | You can travel by coach via Lux Express (from stop Riga Airport or Riga Coach Station to stop Tartu Coach Station). The Riga Airport stop is located here. As the coach does not go often from Riga Airport, you can also take one from the coach station. Riga coach station is rather far from the airport but bus 22 can take you from the airport.
